Puyallup
The City of Puyallup is at the foot of scenic Mount Rainier in the magestic Puget Sound region. It is located 10 miles east of Tacoma and approximately 35 miles south of Seattle.
Because of it\'s history being an agricultural community, the spring is celebrated with the annual Daffodil Parade and the fall with the Western Washington Fair.
Puyallup has a unique downtown antique district. There are also lots of shopping opportunities on Puyallup\'s South Hill. The city boasts cinemas, restaurants, a two-year community college, parks and recreation, good K-12 schools, nice residential districts and a lot more.
The downtown shopping district is made up of historic buildings, which date to the town\'s origin, and maintain the architecture of the pioneer spirit that formed much of the west. Pioneer Park, the town\'s center, is a community focal point, which boasts an impressive new public library, and a pleasant civic park, with a playground, and walking paths that wind through cut green grass, between shady old trees. Puyallup is known for its myriad antiques stores, many of which are located next to each other on the main north-south street of Meridian. Puyallup is one of many cities and towns in Washington that contains an \'old-fashioned\' downtown shopping area.
