Beautiful Places to Play
Renton’s parks, futsal courts and fields make accessible and fun areas to play. Whether you're looking for a full match or just want to pass the ball around, you’ll find plenty of well‑maintained fields and scenic play areas across the city.
With large fields and tree‑lined surroundings, Ron Regis Park is a go‑to location for practices, weekend games, and casual kickarounds. Its peaceful setting makes it great for players of all ages. Honey Dew Athletic Fields offers versatile public fields suitable for soccer, baseball, and football. It’s a flexible, open site for community use and spontaneous play. Located just outside the Renton boundary in the Fairwood neighborhood, Petrovitsky Park is a standout destination for serious play. The park features two full‑size turf soccer fields with recent renovations.
Renton is proudly home to eight RAVE Foundation fields — free community spaces created by the nonprofit arm of the Seattle Sounders FC. According to the RAVE Foundation, their mission is to " build 52 free play fields across Washington by FIFA World Cup 26™". Their website states that, "RAVE fields are more than just a soccer space. They are a community’s place to belong. RAVE Fields are intended for the communities they inhabit, and can never be rented by outside groups. RAVE fields can be used for soccer, and for any gatherings or events they inspire. At their core, RAVE fields are designed to invite free, unstructured play."
