Summer weather

Renton River Days, one of Renton's largest celebrations, takes place annually every July. This special weekend is packed with activities from the parade, live music, family activities, and the beloved Rubber Ducky Derby. The summer is truly when the city comes alive. 

Spring and autumn weather 

Spring in Renton brings a warming trend and progressively sunnier days, all while keeping that familiar Pacific Northwest mix of rain and shine. Both spring and fall share wetter conditions, so a raincoat is always a good idea—especially with November and March being among the rainiest months of the year. On those cozy, wet days, Renton offers plenty of indoor fun. You can stop by one of our two amazing libraries, challenge yourself at Sure Lock Escapes, or entertain the family at 8 Bit Arcade. It’s also the perfect time to slip into a café, warm up with a drink, and enjoy that classic PNW atmosphere. Winter weather 

Typical winters in Renton are marked by light rain, cloudy days, and mild temperatures—highs in the upper 40s and lows in the high 30s. Snow isn’t common, but every so often Renton gets a soft dusting, and an army of snowmen pops up all over the city!

Winter also brings some of Renton’s most charming seasonal traditions. Don’t miss the stunning Christmas decorations with Clam Lights at Gene Coulon Park or the annual tree lighting downtown. It’s a wonderful time to shop local, discover holiday events, and enjoy the cozy season.
