Renton Weather
A Pacific Northwest Climate—Mild, Green, and Ever-Changing
Renton’s weather reflects the best of the Pacific Northwest: mild temperatures, four distinct seasons, and plenty of lush greenery thanks to regular rainfall. Any season is the perfect time to vist! Whether you’re planning a summer trip, or visiting during peak rainy season, here’s what to expect throughout the year.
Summer weather
Summer is such an enjoyable time with warm and sunny days! Temperatures averaging in the mid to high 70s, with heat sometimes peaking higher. In recent years, Renton has experienced heatwaves with temperatures well above 80 degrees. This is an ideal time to visit Renton’s parks and open spaces or to have a go exploring Lake Washington!
Spring and autumn weather
Spring and autumn see temperatures in the mid 50s. Spring brings a warming trend, and progressively sunnier days. However, both seasons bring the rain so you will need a raincoat, with November and March being among the wettest months! On wet days, why not visit one of two amazing libraries or entertain the family with a visit to 8 bit-arcade or Sure Lock Escapes.
Winter weather
Typical winters are characterized by light rain, cloudy days, and mild temperatures, highs in the upper 40s and lows in the high 30s. Although snow isn't common – Renton sometimes gets a dusting, and an army of snowmen pop up all over the city!. Don't miss the stunning Christmas decorations down at Gene Coulon Park or the annual tree lighting downtown!
