Holiday Lights & Bazaar

Renton’s Annual Holiday Lights Traditions

Renton sparkles each holiday season with beloved traditions that bring light, joy, and community spirit to the city

Clam Lights at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park features a dazzling waterfront light display, running nightly through the holiday season into early January. The display includes giant illuminated clams, inspired by a partnership with Ivar’s Seafood, adding a playful, iconic touch to the waterfront experience. Families can stroll through sparkling displays, enjoy festive photo opportunities, and if you’re there for opening night, you might even spot a real-life walking two-legged clam, a beloved Renton tradition!

The Battle of the Badges Holiday Lights adds a playful twist, as local public safety agencies decorate their vehicles and compete for the best holiday display. This free, one-night-only walk-through event takes place in early December at Renton Technical College, offering a fun and festive experience for all ages.

The Downtown Renton Tree Lighting kicks off the holiday festivities in the heart of the city, creating a festive atmosphere for families and community members.

The Holiday Bazaar is a two-day event at the Renton Community Center featuring high-quality local artists, crafters, and vendors from Renton and the greater Puget Sound region. Shoppers can browse items that are designed, created, upcycled, and displayed by talented local artisans.

These events make Renton a vibrant destination for holiday cheer, offering something for everyone to enjoy each year.
